When there are big waves we feel so small....

·      The fear when you make a take-off on a big wave (steep slope and the height)

·      The strength of the ocean

I practise surf when I can, often on holidays, because it’s hard to find the ocean in Reims...

My parents are teachers, and they have requested a transfer to Tahiti Island. It’s the surf country! A place where there are the nicest waves in the world. One wave in Teahupoo is terrible and dangerous!

2)What is the surf history ? 

 It was invented in Polynesia, in 1700’s but the surf was discovered in Hawaii. James Cook found Polynesians who played with the waves on a wooden board. 

Since 1900, the surf has been practiced only in Hawaii. It was a very important sport: the heads used it to prove their courage and their strength.

It’s from 1912 that Duke PaoaKahanamoku, an Olympic swimmer, began to develop the surf sensation around the world, notably in Australia.

Today there are a lot of competitions around the world and surfers are professionals.But some surfers don’t accept the competitions and  only keep the old culture on : a wisdom in action where the man is confronted  with the forces of nature.

You can see on that map all the spots for surfing. Some are very dangerous.

Under the ocean, there are 2 types of floor : the reef and the sand.

The reef : the reef is a very dangerous stone floor very dangerous because it can hurt the surfers. The waves remain the same. It’s a spot for experimental surfers.

 The sand : the sand is  less dangerous but the waves changes with the time, it’s never the same. It’s a spot for all surfers.

The Boys Band “One Direction”

Introduction:

One Direction is an English-Irish Boys Band, constituted of 5 members: Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne. They finished at the third place of the seventh season of X Factor UK.

Their first album is Up All Night was released on November 18^th 2011.

Their second album is Take Me Home was released on November 9^th 2012.

The members:

Niall Horan (Niall James Horan) is the only Irish boy of the band. He is nineteen years old, he was born on September 13^th 1993. He is from Mullingar, a town in the center of Ireland. He made his studies at Colàiste Mhuire,Mullingar. His favorite singer is Justin Bieber. He loves “big swing” music like Franck Sinitra and Michael Buble. During his audition, he chose to sing So Sick of Ne-Yo and he obtained 3 yes but he failed at the bootcamp.  

 Harry styles (Harry Edward Styles) is English. He is from Holmes Chapel in England. He is eighteen years old,he was born on February 1^st 1994.He made his studies at Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School. He is the youngest of the band. He was a member of a Group called White Eskimo. His favorite singer is John Mayer. During his audition, he chose to sing Isn’t She Lovely by Stevie Wonder and he obtained 2 yes but he failed at the bootcamp.

Zayn Malik (Zain Javadd Malik) is English but he is the son of a British Pakistani father and an English mother. He is from Bradford in England. He is nineteen years old, he was born on January 12^th 1993. He made his studies at Tong High School. His Favorite singer is Chris Brown. During his audition, he chose to sing Let Me Love You by Mario and he obtained 3 yes but he failed at the bootcamp.

 Louis Tomlinson (Louis William Tomlinson) is English. He is from Doncaster in England. He is twenty-one years old, he was born on December 24^th 1991. He made his studies at Hall Cross School. He is the oldest of the band. His favorite group is The Fray. During his audition, he chose to sing Hey There Delilah of Plain White T’s and he obtained 3 yes but he failed at the boot camp.

 Liam Payne (Liam James Payne) is English. He is from Wolverhampton in England.He is nineteen years old,he was born on August 29^th 1993. He made his studies at City of Wolverhampton College.His favorite singer is Leona Lewis. During his audition, he chose to sing Cry Me A River and he obtained 3 yes but he failed at the bootcamp.

 The Beginning and the news :

The boys auditioned as solo artists but the jury really loved them so they decided to put them in one band. Since, they have a very big success all over the world.

 3,6 millions of albums were sold for Up All Night and 2,8 millions of albums for Take Me Home at this time.

Their first concerts tour was Up All Night Tour and 2013 World Tour is in preparation.

 They won a lot of awards and had a lot of nominations. They were nominated in twenty-seven ceremonies and they had won more than twenty-two awards.

Their singles were What Makes You Beautiful, One Thing, Live While We’re Young, Little Things and Kiss You who arrives. 

  They made a concert at The Madison Square Garden in December. It was AMAZING.

Love:

Liam is in couple with a dancing-girl of X Factor Danielle Peazer.

Zayn is in couple with Perrie Edwards who is in a Girls Band named Little Mix.

 Louis is in a couple with Eleanor Calder. Eleanor was Harry’s friend.

Harry is in couple with the singer Taylor Swift.

 And Niall is the only single of the band.

Conclusion:

I've chosen to do my article about One Direction because they are an inspiration, when I’m not good I listen to their music and they cheer me up. After that, I hope they will last and they won’t separate. They have fans in all over the world, a lot of talents and popularity. They are really handsome and really attentive with their fans. They are simple and it’s why I love them.
