     POEM n°1

My ideal world is a world where people aren’t bad.

A world which is funny, a world that isn’t sad.

A planet where everyone is treated the same.

A planet that doesn’t fight and a planet that has no shame.

A planet of people who want peace in the world.

A planet of people who respect the world and who take care of it.

A world which doesn’t know any wars.

A world in everyone is equal.

    POEM n°2

My ideal world is a world where racism doesn’t exist,

A world which considers everyone like siblings.

A humanity whose homosexuality isn’t on the black list,

A universe where humans have got feelings.

Full of people whose ideas are for developement,

People who are proud to be different.

Somewhere that I can dream without limit.

A place where hope reigns, I want it.

But our world is a gamble.

Either you win, or you crumble.

    POEM n°3

My ideal world is a world which is tolerant.

A world where people are respectful and people who don’t use abusive language.

A world in which I can believe

And not with leaders whose policies are tyrannical.

A  world where war and corruption are not everywhere.

A world that respects democracy and humans.

With people who can love eachother with any religion.

And not with people that are scared by someone who is different.

    Because this world is unbearable

When I see them destroying the planet and when I see some of them who are rejected.

    POEM n°4

My ideal world is a world where everybody is accepted and where racism is not.

A world where all the people are happy,

    Where everyone lives in peace.

A world where all the dreams become reality

Where I can be me without being judged by anybody.

    A planet that doesn’t fight.

A planet that has no shame.

A place with people who are young and free

And who can remain like this.

    A world where liberty reigns

    And which is beautiful.

    POEM n°5

My ideal world is a world whose inhabitants are nice

A world which accepts and a world which doesn’t do wars.

Beaches where there are pink dolpins.

A place with people who love and that are peaceful.

    Somewhere criminals do not exist.

People whose life would be fine.

Because I love years when there are no battles.

A place where it is hot and beautiful.

    A world that is perfect.

  •  LUGGAGE-TALE CONTEST

Here are 3 excellent luggage tales. Which one would you vote for? Why?

    LUGGAGE TALE 1

Last summer, I spent two weeks in Djerba, in Tunisia with my parents.

I took off from Luxembourg airport to Djerba on August 8th. My flight was on time. Two hours later, I arrived in Djerba. We got off the plane and walked to the terminal building and went to the baggage reclaim to collect our luggage. I was standing at the baggage carousel when suddenly I saw my suitcase wrapped into a big plastic bag. My suitcase was broken, especially the lock. My parents and I opened it in order to check nothing was missing. Fortunately, I didn’t lose anything and the most interesting thing was my favourite sunglasses and they were in it! Since the suitcase was seriously damaged, we had to go to the baggage reclaim desk to make a damaged report. So, we missed the bus to the hotel. We decided to take a taxi. We were waiting for a taxi, when, my suitcase opened on the pavement. All my clothes were on the ground. I was so angry! The taxi driver gave me a string to close my suitcase. Then, we left the airport by taxi and the funny thing was that we got to the hotel before all the holidaymakers who took the bus we missed!

    LUGGAGE TALE 2

Three years ago, during the summer holidays, I went to the Island of Reunion  with my mother and my brother to visit my aunt and my cousin.

I flew from Paris CDG to Reunion Roland Garros Airport with a connection in Mahajanga, Madagascar. The first flight, the Paris-Mahajanga one, was delayed, so the next flight from Mahajanga to St-Denis (where the Reunion Roland Garros Airport is located) took off late. When I arrived in St-Denis, I couldn't find my suitcase and all my clothes were in it. So, I went to the baggage desk and someone told my mother that my suitcase would be delivered at my aunt's as soon as possible. Fortunately, as I was at my cousin's he gave me clothes and flip-flops until I get my suitcase back, but the T-shirt and the trousers were too big for me because my cousin is older than me.

Because of this,, for two days, I was wearing clothes which made me look ridiculous and people were looking at me in the street.

Eventually, the airline delivered my suitcase (a man had taken mine instead of his) and it was really better.

Today, I still remember the people's laughters.

    LUGGAGE TALE 3

Three years ago, in August, I went to Saint Pierre, Reunion to visit my aunt and my cousin for two weeks.

On the way back, I flew from Reunion Rolland Garros Airport to Paris Charles de Gaulle with a connection in Lyon Saint Exupery Airport. The Reunion-Lyon flight landed late so I was obliged to run to avoid missing the Lyon-Paris flight, which was on time. With this incident, I had completely forgotten my suitcase. And when I arrived in Paris, it wasn't there. So I went to the airport baggage desk to report the issue. i was explaining to the lady that my first flight was late, when I suddenly realized my absent-mindedness. The lady said my suitcase would have been placed on the next flight due in later. She gave me a form to complete, and she said my suitcase would be delivered at their expense to my hotel. But I don't live in Paris and I had to go back home! And I was wearing shorts and a shirt because of the eleven hours of my return journey.

Eventually I spent the night in Paris and the airport delivered my suitcase to my hotel in the afternoon.

  • Death Note

    Death note

Death note, literally "Book of Death" is a shōnen (= it means it is for teenagers)  manga, created by the writer Tsugumi Oba and the designer Takeshi Obata.

    Death note

The main character is Light Yagami, a gifted high school student who thinks that today's world is corrupted and bad. He finds the death notebook whose power is to give the notebook's user the ability to kill the person whose name is written in it (this Death notebook was given by Ryuk who is a God of Death who wants to play with the world of Humans). So Light Yagami decides to use it to kill all the criminals. His aim is to create an ideal world without Evil and where he can reign as a god. But a detective, called L, is trying to stop him doing so. L is considered as the best detective in the world.

  • BE CAREFUL : Paulette loves English has got a piece of advice : you must be 13 years old or more to read these books!

    HUNGER GAMES

    HUNGER GAMES

Let me talk about Hunger games, a trilogy.

I’ve chosen this subject because I am fond of it and because I would like to share it with other people.

First, “Hunger games” are 3 books written by Suzanne Collins. The story takes place in a post-apocalyptic future in Panem, the new name of the USA in the books. After a nuclear war, the USA are ravaged. Panem is divided into 12 parts called “districts” and Snow, the President, is at the head of the country. The heroine is Katniss, a girl who is 16 years old at the beginning of the story. She lives in the 12th district with her family.

Every year, some games are organized: the Hunger Games.
The contestants are drawn lots. Then, they are in a big arena in the nature. Here, they must survive and stay alive the longest time as possible and the latest.

But one day, Prim, Katniss’s sister is drawing lots. But Katniss, who loves her sister so much, says: “
    I’ll substitute to my sister!”

Then, Hunger Games is meeting with success in France and in the USA.

Finally, a movie adapted from the books will be on the screens on the 21st of March in France.

  • First, I’ve decided to choose this book entitled ' Stolen, a letter to my captor' and written by Lucy Christopher because I was really impressed, I’ve never read a book like this before. It takes place in the Australian Outback.

STOLEN, A LETTER TO MY CAPTOR

When you read this story you become Gemma a sixteen-year-old girl who is kidnapped during her holidays by a young man named Ty. He steals her and takes her away from London to Australia.

STOLEN, A LETTER TO MY CAPTOR

However, Ty is an unusual captor : he’s like a model, he wants to save Gemma from the life in the city and he has spied her for 10 years ! But above all he loves her. At first, Gemma wants to escape, to die, she is desperate. Unfortunately, they are in the middle of the desert and no one lives for hundred miles around. She can’t escape. So, she gets used to it and to her captor. Ty has grown up in the desert, so he taught her a lot of things. The desert is like a character in the book, you can feel the Australian sun on your skin. Ty does a lot of mistakes but he isn’t really mean. He never tries to hurt Gemma. There is a strange relationship between them. The readers can’t hate Ty even if he does really bad things. It looks kike  Stockholm syndrome (= when hostages have positive feelings towards their captors).

At the end, a venomous snake bites Gemma and she must go to hospital. Ty rides her to the nearest town on a camel. Gemma is almost dead, she says she wants Ty to stay with her. Finally, the police sends him to jail but Gemma doesn’t want to go back to London.
The book is a letter written by Gemma to Ty.
    You can’t forget this book.

STOLEN, A LETTER TO MY CAPTOR

One quote : ‘Lets face it, you did steal me. But you saved my life too. And somewhere in the middle, you showed me a place so different and beautiful, I can never get it out of my mind. And I can't get you out of there either. You're stuck in my brain like my own blood vessels.’

Here's the trailer of the book :
