•                            Luc Abalo

I have chosen this sportsman because he’s my idol at handball. He is very strong. My dream is to see him in real life.

    LUC ABALO

Luc        Abalo is a  French handball player. He was born on September 6th in Ivry-sur-Seine (Paris). He is 6’ 0’’ tall and he weighs 176 Ib. He plays as a right winger, he is ,indeed, the best right winger in the world. Since 2012, he has played in Paris Saint Germain with the greatest players in the world such as M.Hansen, D.Narcisse, S.Honrubia.

    LUC ABALO

He had lots of awards. Luc Abalo had :

Two European titles, Two World Cup titles, Two Gold Medals.

He is very strong. I like this player, I think he has a great quality of tactical game.

Luc Abalo was detected early by technicians of U.S Ivry.

Even if he’s a bit small, he still managed to get into the pole Eaubonne.

    LUC ABALO

In 2012, he wanted to be closer to his family who lives in Paris so he signs in Paris Saint Germain after playing 4 years in Ciudad Real ( Spain ).

Today, he’s probably the best player of all time.

Now, let’s watch Luc Abalo in action :

  • I have practiced athletics for 6 years. My club is EFSRA.

First I'll talk about the club and athletes who are famous for their performances.
The club was founded in 1984 by the fusion of two clubs : "Family Club Rémois" and "Stade de Reims Athlétisme".

In this club, there are athletes who have a very good level such as Yohann Diniz who  is the world champion in walking
(he has the world record distance on the track  with a time of 3h35min27sec)

and Eunice Barber who, in February 1999, took part in World Athletics Championship and won the gold medal in the heptathlon.
In 2003, she jumped 6.99m, therefore she became the Olympic champion of long jump.

Then, I'll talk about my records.
Here is me when I run →

In athletics I practice long jump and sprint.

I make about 12 competitions a year; this is why I practice long jump and sprint twice a week.
I love running  ! For a long time, I’ve wanted to go to Olympic Games. Nevertheless I know it’s only a dream !
    My record when I run 50m is 7'16, and when I run100m, it's 13'21.
I'm also fond of long jumping. My record is 4m73!

  • A sliding sport

I am going to talk about my favourite sport which is skiing because, during winter break, a lot of people will go to the mountains.

    Origins of skiing

4000 (before J.C) : first wood skis used by humans to move on snow and ice in the Nordic countries.

1539 : some wars were carried out by Finnish soldiers equipped with ski.

1867 : first skiing competition in the region of Telemark, in Norway.

1888 : it’s one of the famous date in the history of skiing : Nansen crossed the Greenland on skis. This exploit aroused curiosity around the world about this sport.

1930 : explosion of activity of skiing for tourists.

1933 : first skiing school in France and creation of the “Féderation Française du ski”.

1934 : first cable car created specifically for skiers.

Since 1935 : the competitions became numerous.

At the end of XXth century : France has 30% of ski areas in the world and the largest ski lift equipment.

The ski today in the world

First, today, there are about 8 million skiers per season in France.

Then, there are different types of skis :
    •    The telemark (it is the ancestor of ski. The heels aren’t attached to the ski).
    •    The monoski (both feet are on the same ski).
    •    The snowblades (they’re small skis).
    •    The parabolic ski (now it is the most commonly used ski) .

After that, skiing is a competitive sport because every year, there are a lot of races (for example slaloms, super giants, ...)

    Some famous skiers

Finally, you certainly know some champions like the French Jean-Claude Killy, Jean-Baptiste Grange, Luc Alphand, the American Bode Miller, the Italian Alberto Tomba or also the German Fritz Dopfer.

As the ski is a mixed sport, there are also women who are champions like the Austrian Kathrin Zettel and the French Marion Rolland.
