I've chosen to speak about the Beatles because I enjoy this band! I think that it was one of the best rock bands in the world! We still sing some of their songs nowadays because they are unforgettable!

The beginning:   
First at the beginning they were only three ( John Lennon , Paul McCartney and Georges Harrison) and went round the clubs of Liverpool because they were native from there. These self-taught characters were very influenced by the American black blues and rock'n roll. Paul McCartney and John Lennon got so well; so they wrote  a lot of songs together.
     Next,  The Beatles made some shows in Hamburg and it was during one of these concerts that they met Ringo Starr.

The success:   
    First, in October 5th, 1962 “ Love me do ” was released but wasn't very well classified in the charts. But the band was OK.
    Then the album “Please please me” opened them door to success. It had been classified at the top of the charts for seven months.
     Next the Beatles became very popular in the United Kingdom. Their success is phenomenal. Beatlemania crossed the borders to invade France and the rest of Europe. Some famous songs : Can't Buy Me Love, Yesterday, A hard Day's night, Ticket To Ride, Help, We Can Work In Out...
    However the group fell apart in 1970.

Finally, let's listen to 'hello, Goodbye', 'Strawberry Fields forever' and 'Obla-di Obla-da'! :
