Today I will talk about a band which I like very much !
Daft Punk is a French group of electronic music consisting of Guy-Manuel de Homen-Christo and Thomas Bangalter. Since the beginning of the group in 1993, both musicians have worn a helmet and robot costumes to hide their identity; except in 1995 when the group was interviewed without.

The band met with success in 1997 with their album “Homework”. Indeed 2 million copies were sold in 35 countries different in only 2 months! They became internationally famous and began their first world tour of forty dates in 1997!

In 2001 they released its second album “Discovery” which was the second success for the group. Finally Daft Punk released the soundtrack album of the film “Tron Legacy”in 2010.

Sir Arthur Ignatius Conan Doyle

I've chosen this issue because I studied it in English. I find it interesting and I like Arthur Conan Doyle’s novels. First, I will speak about him and after that I will speak about Sherlock Holmes.

First, Sir Arthur Ignatius Conan Doyle was born on May 22^nd, in 1859 in Edinburgh. He was a very famous writer and a Scottish doctor. His novels with detective Sherlock Holmes, and the adventures of Professor Challenger made him famous. This writer was also an author of science fiction novels, historical novels, poetries and historic works. He studied the medicine from 1876 till 1881, at the University of Edinburgh. At the same time, he began to write novels. First novels are published in the “Chambers's Edinburgh Journal”. After that, in 1885, he married Louisa Hawkins.  He was ennobled by King Edward VII on October 24^th in 1902. After his wife’s death, in 1907, he remarried with Jean Elizabeth Leckie. He had five children, two of his first wife and three of his second wife. He died of a heart attack on July 7th, 1930 at the age of 71 years old in Crowborough.

A statue honors him in Crowborough, where he has lived for 23 years.

Next,  Sherlock Holmes was created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle in the detective novel “A Study in Scarlet” in 1887. We can see him on the right and Doctor Watson is on the left on this picture.

Sherlock Holmes was a detective with a very good memory. During his inquiries, he is often accompanied by Doctor Watson. He was born on January 6^th in 1854. The only person of his family the writer knows about is his brother Elder Mycroft. Sherlock Holmes lived at 221B Baker Street, in London. He began his professional activity in 1878. He met Doctor Watson in 1881. Finally, in 1990, Guinness Book of Movies listed 204 film adaptations of him. It makes him the character the most used by the story of cinema.

First I've chosen to talk about British cars because I like nice cars and especially the beautiful English ones.

Aston Martin
    Aston Martin was founded in 1913 by Lionel Martin. It is based in Gaydon in Warwickshire.
   Today Aston Martin is one of the best known  British car brand. the cars are very classy but also very sporty. This is James Bond's car !!!!!!

Rolls-Royce and Bentley
Rolls-Royce was created in 1906 by Henry Royce and Charles Rolls. Bentley was founded in 1913 by Walter Owen Bentley.
These two manufacturers are popular for their beautiful limousines. In showroooms you can customize it as you want ... It's really exceptional but very expensive !!!

McLaren
Actually McLaren is known for its team in Formula 1. But since 2009 they have  produced the model Mp4-12 C. It's great because it's a race car but you can drive with it to go to work.

Morgan
Morgan was born in 1909. The brand became famous for its racing tricycles. The first car had four wheels and was built in 1936. Since 1936 the model 4 / 4 has not changed. Today  you can always buy a new car designed before World War II.

Victor

I've chosen this subject because I like this singer very much and I've been to her concerts twice. In my opinion, she is an original singer. I find her concerts beautiful and spectacular.

Kylie Ann Minogue was born on May 28th, 1968 in Melbourne, Australia. She is a singer but also a song-writer and an actress.

First, she began her career at the age of 11 as an actress in series on TV : 'Sullivan', next 'The Skyways'. Then, she stopped her studies to be a full-time actress. So she was hired in the series 'Neighbours'. After that, she became famous so she decided to begin a singer's career. Her style of music is pop and disco. Her first album 'Kylie' (1988) was a big success. She continued to release records and albums which have often been at the top of the charts. She had a small break from 1999 to 2001 before creating a new album 'Fever' which was sold up to 15 million copies!

However, in 2005, she had to interrupt her tour because she was diagnosed a breast cancer. Fortunately, she was cured one year later and she released her tenth album named 'X' and 'Aphrodite' in 2010.
